Unfortunately, that wasn't the end of our escapades to the ED. On Sunday morning around 3:30 am about 24 hours after we got home from Friday night's visit, Sarah came into our room complaining about being hot. Jess took her temperature and she was almost 104F. So we made another trip to the ED. This time it looked like her ear drum has ruptured. She had been complaining about it earlier in the day, but she didn't have the swelling or pain that she had last time it happened. They switched antibiotics and sent us home. I was able to get to my early morning Sunday meetings and let Jess and Lilly go to church.
We were planning on attending a baptism of a child in the ward Sunday afternoon, but around 3:00 pm Sarah's fever spiked again to 103F and she was chilling. We called to see what they wanted, and they wanted to get more cultures since the chilling is a sign of a blood infection. Jess took Sarah this time to the ED. We will see today if it is anything more than the ear infection that she is fighting. Hopefully the antibiotics will kick in and we won't have any more visits to the ED.
I have a couple of pictures that I haven't posted previously that I am leaving here. Thanks for all the support and love that is shown to our family.
